Mission StatementPrince of Peace Parish is a Roman Catholic faith community dedicated to giving praise and glory to the One God in Three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
As the Body of Christ of which Jesus is the Head, the spiritual and corporal works of mercy, marriage and family, Christian morals and ethics, social life and fellowship in the Spirit are encouraged and practiced. |
HistoryOn July 5, 2000, the five former ethnic parishes of Christ the King, Holy Cross, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Saint John the Baptist, and Saint Stanislaus Kostka were merged into one new parish called Prince of Peace. With the closing of three worship sites and keeping open only two, the process was understandably painful for many, but an opportunity for both spiritual growth as well. In the last 14 years we have come a long way in becoming one family faith community. Over the years we have had mini family festival in the middle of July, and have had lots of parish fellowship, good ethnic foods, games of chance for both children and adults, and a lot of fun thanks to the help of many volunteers.
